Aiden has always been............different. In a good way. He has always been part boy, part grown man, even when he was a baby. He has an old soul I guess you could say. I love that he has always had a sense of contentment. He has thrown 2 temper tantrums in his life and they lasted all of 2 seconds each. He's never out of control. He is very cautious. Won't ride his bike without a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads. He is rarely wild. He talks with us on our level most of the time, so it was no surprise when we received his 2nd grade standardized test result and they showed he had a 7th grade vocabulary comprehension. This is just typical Aiden. I wanted to show these pictures because this will give you a true sense of Aiden and his "old man-ness".
Jeff walked out on to the front porch this morning and there Aiden was. Reading a story in the Fort Worth Star Telegram about some new developments at Hurrican Harbor. Make no mistake, his favorite are the comics but this morning he was focused on the Work & Money section! When I came back out with the camera he said to me "What? I'm just really into the paper, mom." Okay, what ever you say, grandpa.
