Our First Story...............

Wednesday after all of the shots and x-rays I decided that both of the boys deserved some fun. We went to Incredible Pizza so the boys could "play-play" as Ben calls it. (Any place with games or rides is called "play-play") So after winning enough tickets to get a Bubble Lab we sat down to eat dessert and talk. Ben looked at the bubbles and said "Mom,...Orphanage.... zis( meaning "this", in strong Ethiopian accent) baby....drink bubbles. Glug glug glug." The look on his face and his laughter about the story made us all laugh. I asked which baby it was. "Takelab, funny baby." (Carole, If you are reading this I am sure it doesn't surprise you to know that it was Samuel!)
It was nice to be able to hear a story finally. Even if it wasn't anything major. Just to have Ben share something from his past was very sweet.

Zis and Zat... sounds oddly familiar. I love the stories. They get better and better as time goes on. They also get sadder and sadder as they feel more comfortable with you and begin sharing more and more. Josh told me the other day that Jameson never met her father because he died while she was "in the belly." Jameson remembers bits and pieces of her mother. She remembers the love. She remembers her hair. She remembers that she used to braid hair beautifully. She often tells me stories of her mother calling her "Jameson, Jameson." It's so sweet but sad.
