Brotherly Love...................

Aiden and Ben have had some pretty good romps in the past two weeks. Last week we had what I refer to as the Barroom Brawl. They were riding bikes in the back when Ben ran his bike into Aiden for the 9 trillionth time. Aiden had had it and he jumped off his bike and kicked Ben's bike over, with Ben on it. Ben jumped up and spit in Aiden's face (siiiiiiick). Aiden then proceeded to push Ben down again. Ben recovered from his fall, then hauled off and kicked Aiden in the "goods".

The next big incident happened while we were out of town this weekend. Here is pictures of the results. (By the way, they didn't know I was taking a picture because I turned the flash off. Just didn't want anyone to think I'm subjecting my children to public humiliation. That is what the look on Ben's face says though. It is actually a look of guilt. They had just had another "incident".)

Notice the claw marks on Aiden's face? The picture doesn't do them justice. Obviously I need to cut Ben's fingernails! We still don't know exactly what happened because when you ask Aiden he will only say that Ben did it (so he doesn't incriminate himself, I'm sure). Ben agrees but in turn has to point out some imaginary mark on him that he insists Aiden inflicted. These boys are a mess!!!!!

I think that pretty much means they are comfortable and feeling like brothers. I kind of (sort of... not really, but kind of) liked it when the kids started fighting because it meant they knew they would still love each other and they were there to stay.

I can relate! Fortunately (at least so far) little girl brawls don't get quite as physical. Ours usually amount to throwing a backpack at someone or slapping them on the leg. Sibling rivalry...
