This morning we went to the doctor and the guy was very nice but he said that there is no way that Minte is younger than 9 and he can't say that he is because he could lose his job and the clinic could lose it's contract with the Embassy. I am glad that he was ethical but that does mean that we will have to go with the home study ammendment. We have plenty of time and Heather and Grace kicked butt yesterday getting the ball rolling so I am not gonna stress over it today.
My driver was very leary of me this morning. He was worried that any moment I would become "sexist". I didn't. I didn't cry once, I just decided that what ever I have to do I'm gonna do. I just hope that it doesn't include having to change my flight plans AGAIN!!!
Now the boys are in the court yard playing Bottle Cap Bowling with Mahi, the managers wife. She is so sweet and I am thankful because I am running out of free things to do! And I'm running out of money entertaining these boys! Thank the Lord for bottle caps!
Thanks for all of your support and kind words! It is really helping me not freak out!
Love and miss you guys! OH! THREE MORE DAYS UNTIL JEFF GETS HERE!!!!! YAY!

Sorry the doctor thing didn't work out but I know you will get the amendment you need. Your driver can just thank his lucky stars I'm not there with you or he would be dealing with TWO sexist women since we have always had that "you cry, I cry" arrangement;-) I love you baby girl!
Well, despite the "sexism" I think you are handling things VERY WELL, all things considered! And, your Minte and my Minte are the same age! Isn't that fun? I am so glad the hs amendment will happen quickly and will pray that it all gets cabled over there asap. Like I said in my comment on your last post, we are dealing with this EXACT thing (just before the fact!) and are anxiously awaiting word that our addendum has reached the Embassy.
Praying, praying.
{{{hugs}}}
Your positive outlook is awesome! It will all get worked out... Crystal
Hey Jaclyn!! I love Heather, she is the best Social Worker ever. She has over nighted your ammendment to USCIS who say they will get it to NV as quickly as they can. she is emailing me the notarized copy and I will email that to the Embassy in Addis. You will get Minte home. Like I told Shimeliss yesterday--she isn't coming home without a kid!!!!
My heart just goes out to you. I almost had to stay some extra days due to a visa screw-up when I went for Helina and completely understand those frustrated/helpless feeling tears (Genanaw didnt know how to deal with me either:)). I will continue to pray for you and that the home study update will be available VERY soon.
Hugs.
I don't know how a doctor can tell if he is 81/2 or 9. Just another bump in the road for you to over come. You have already done more than most would do to get your boys,so hang in there. How is Aiden dealing with Minte being older? You will be home soon, we love you and you are in our hearts and prayers. JoJo
I'm praying for you and thinking of you! Rebecca
Hey Jaclyn
Sorry for your extra extra hurdles and challenges. you are a strong woman. My heart and prayers reach to you..keeep up the faith and strength...we can all learn from you. I agree with Jo Jo..is their medicine advanced enough to tell the diff bet ween 8 and 9? Even a bone scan is 6 months variation
